Arsenal defeated Leicester 4-0 away to go back to the top of the League. They are level on points with Chelsea but with a better goal difference and a game in hand over the Blues, who defeated the League leaders Manchester United away 3-1

Going into the international break, the team is in great shape. Top of the league and top of the Champions League group, as well.

All the lights are currently green except for the injury list that keeps growing unfortunately.

Currently, Leah Williamson, Rafaelle Souza, Kim Little, Lina Hurtig are all injured.

Youngster, Teyah Goldie is back in training but not match fit yet. Vivianne Miedema is currently on leave abroad enjoying a needed rest.

So, out of the 20 senior players at the club, five are currently not available, leaving us with fifteen fit players.

This is a little worrying considering the upcoming games: Manchester United at home, Juventus away to end November.

Then Everton and Juventus at home, followed by Aston Villa away, Lyon at home and Zurich away to close the year.

Hopefully, none of the players will come back injured, especially considering all the teams are playing friendlies during this break and don’t need to be overused.

We can also hope that some of the players will be available after the international break. The current squad low numbers meant the starting XI picked itself up:

It was good see one of the Academy youngsters given a game when Hurtig was injured after coming on as a sub.

The pathway from the Academy to the first team is very much clogged as the club is competing for big honours and there is no space for youngsters, so they all leave when they reach 18 or 19 years old.

The only exception to this rule being Teyah Goldie, who is currently on her way back from injury and is the first youngster to be granted a pro contract for a long time.

Arsenal will pray that no one gets injured in the next two weeks and that a couple of players will be back to full fitness in time for the United game that will be played at the Emirates Stadium.
