Arsenal youngster Charlie Patino returned to north London last week, taking a break from his Blackpool loan to work out at London Colney.

With the Championship on a temporary hiatus for the World Cup, Charlie Patino took the opportunity to return to London last week.

The teenager was in the stands for the Arsenal u21 game against AS Monaco last Monday, and he subsequently posted on his Instagram story to confirm he was using the facilities at London Colney to stay fit.

This follows a similar post from Brooke Norton-Cuffy, on loan at Rotherham United, who also confirmed he was back at London Colney last week.

For those getting excited about the duo potentially linking up with the Arsenal first team for their mid-season friendlies, unfortunately, that’s not going to happen.

The Championship returns slightly earlier than the Premier League, so Blackpool and Rotherham United will be playing again on December 10th, just two days after Arsenal’s first friendly in Dubai.

The Gunners are set to play a behind-closed-doors match against Watford next week, but even that is unlikely to see any involvement from Patino. Blackpool have a training camp in Spain coming up at the end of the month.

It seems Patino and Norton-Cuffy are just taking advantage of the facilities on offer to them at Arsenal and checking back in with staff and teammates they haven’t been able to see for a while.
