Arsenal have been linked with Mykhaylo Mudryk for a while now and the amount of chatter around the player suggests that the club are indeed interested in him.

How could they not be with eight goals and seven assists in just 15 games this season?

Under contract until 2026 after signing a new deal at the start of the year, Arsenal know that only a hefty bid well above his current valuation of €15m stands a chance of landing him, so that’s apparently what they’ve done.

Calciomercato report that Arsenal have indeed bid around €60m for the 21-year-old. The Italian site has been keeping an eye on the rumours surrounding the winger due to Juventus’s reported interest in him.

The report says that Arsenal are now waiting to hear back from Shakhtar but that €60m is in the region of what they want for the player.

CM add that “the ‘Gunners’ have been working for months on the purchase of Mudryk and now the negotiation could enter the decisive phase” while also noting that the player can already speak English.

Speaking to the media, Shakhtar’s sporting director Carlo Nicolini admitted that, while they do not want to sell Mudryk, they will for the right price.

He said, “We are not obliged to sell, we do not want to shoot figures that are not realistic. But in this team, he is the most decisive.

“If you want to take on certain players who make a difference in the top clubs, you also need the right money.”

Arsenal are said to be looking to sign three players in the January window to help them push for the Premier League title – a winger, a midfielder and a left-sided centreback.
