Despite Arsenal reportedly on tract to sign both Youri Tielemans and Mykhailo Mudryk, two main names on their shopping list who both apparently want to sign for Arsenal, it was somewhat surprising to read that they are also making enquires about the former Manchester City man.

Then again, it could be his time at City that is appealing to Arteta, who was still coaching there at the time.

Sane has 10 goals and six assists in 24 games for Bayern Munich this season, but averages just over an hour-a-game for the Germans who are four points clear at the top of the table.

The 26-year-old, who turns 27 in January, scored 39 gaols, with 46 assists in 135 games for City. He has 34, with 33 assists, in 108 for Bayern.

City sold Sane to Bayen Munich in 2020 for just under €50m and he is currently valued at €70m.

He is under contract until 2025.

Back in 2015, Arsenal were linked with a move for Sane, who turned down Liverpool and Tottenham befre signing for City in 2016 for €52m.
