Oleksandr Zinchenko was in the stands for Arsenal’s clash with Liverpool on Sunday, and he was caught on camera celebrating the winning goal.

With most of Mikel Arteta’s squad fit and available to face Liverpool on Sunday, the main disappointment was the absence of Oleksandr Zinchenko.
Takehiro Tomiyasu started in place of the Ukraine international, with Kieran Tierney taking up a spot on the bench. But Zinchenko was also in attendance, watching on from the stands.
Arsenal eventually won the game with a Bukayo Saka penalty in the 76th minute, and Zinchenko was videoed celebrating the goal by other fans in attendance.

This isn’t the first time Zinchenko has taken advantage of an injury absence to get the Arsenal fan experience for a day. The left-back was recorded getting involved in the celebrations and protestations throughout the match against Fulham earlier this season.

As for when the defender will be back in action, it’s not yet clear. Ahead of Sunday’s game, Arteta told the media: “He [Zinchenko] had another muscle injury, and let’s see how it evolves in the next few days.”
That’s not hugely encouraging, given how many games Arsenal have at the moment. The return of Cedric Soares could prove crucial if Tomiyasu now has to provide cover at left-back as well.
We’ll have to keep our fingers crossed that the Zinchenko injury is nothing serious.
