The officials during Arsenal’s win over Liverpool on Sunday have referred comments made by a player to the FA.

During the second half of the match on Sunday, a clash of players from both Arsenal and Liverpool saw referee Michael Oliver go to the touchlines to speak to both Mikel Arteta and Jurgen Klopp.
The on-field drama did not seem like it was too serious, coming as it did after Arsenal had been awarded a penalty that Jurgen Klopp has since called soft. The managers did not look like they were being asked to calm their players down. Rather, it looked more like Oliver was informing them of something that had happened and what he’d be doing about it.
After the match, Sky Sports reported that the issue was being referred to the FA due to comments made on the field.
There is speculation online that the incident involves comments made by Jordan Henderson towards Gabriel but there has been no confirmation of what is alleged to have been said nor who is alleged to have said it.

Oliver is believed to have spoken to both managers again after the match.
The FA said it was “aware of an incident that took place” during the game while adding they will “review the details of the incident” after conversations with match officials and both clubs.
Obviously, we cannot speculate as to what was said but I would imagine it won’t be too long until we hear more details on the incident.
When we do, we will update as soon as possible.
