With 50 billion Spotify streams and 122 million Instagram followers, Drake is certainly one of the stars of the music world.

The artist has a particular investment in Barcelona this weekend, as they’ll be wearing his logo on their shirts in El Clasico as part of their sponsorship deal with Spotify.

As a result, perhaps it’s no surprise that Drake has put money on Barcelona to win, but interestingly, he’s also backing the Gunners to beat Leeds United.

Posting on Instagram, Drake confirmed he’d put an accumulator bet on Arsenal and Barcelona to win their matches, staking CA$833,333.85 (£537,254.47). He even hashtagged the post “#COYG”.

With 11 wins in 12 matches, you’d think Arsenal would have a good chance to pick up three points away at Leeds. But winning runs never last forever, and you never know when a team will end up on the end of a shock result.

Drake also hasn’t proven a particularly good omen for the Gunners in the past. He posed with an Arsenal shirt alongside Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in 2019, and the team lost to Everton that weekend.

Mikel Arteta’s side really need to keep their current momentum going for as long as possible, so let’s hope this time will be different.
