Starting with the BBC, Garth Crooks named Thomas Partey and Martin Odegaard in his Team of the Week.

As usual, Crooks couldn’t help throwing in a little jab at Arsenal in his appraisal of Odegaard’s performance, writing that the midfielder looked “very composed and cultured” before adding that he hopes the World Cup break will break Arsenal’s momentum.

As for WhoScored, two other Arsenal players made their team, with Odegaard featuring in both. Reiss Nelson and Gabriel Jesus were the two extra Gunners in the side, and deservedly so.

WhoScored write that Odegaard (8.41 rating) was “an ever present around the Forest 18-yard box” and “a key link in the attack”, highlighting that he created the most chances of any player in the game (five).

Nelson’s 8.95 rating wasn’t hard to explain, as he scored two and assisted one of Arsenal’s five goals in his substitute appearance.

As for Jesus, WhoScored highlight Jesus’ two assists from four key passes and two big chances created, as well as his three shots on target. With a rating of 9.05, the striker ended up being WhoScored’s Premier League Player of the Week.

Once again, the Team of the Week awards are being spread around Arsenal’s team, as they have been all season.

It’s hard to pick out one player who has regularly featured in these sides, and that’s no bad thing for the Gunners. They don’t seem to rely on any individual at the moment, so they’re harder to shut down.

You can see that in the goal tallies this season, with Jesus (five), Martinelli (five), Saka (five), Odegaard (four), and Xhaka (four) all playing their part in Arsenal’s attacking quintet.

They’ll all want to be in the Team of the Week next week after Sunday’s trip to Stamford Bridge.
