Arsenal’s Premier League festive fixtures are set to be confirmed in new timeslots, according to a claim on Wednesday.

Football insider Team news and ticks reports that Arsenal’s festive fixtures will all be moved to new timeslots.

The 3pm kickoff vs West Ham on December 26th will reportedly be moved to 8pm.

The New Year’s Eve away day against Brighton will shift from 3pm to 5:30pm, whilst the game at home to Newcastle will be moved from 3pm on January 2nd to 8pm on January 3rd.

That leaves the new schedule for the return of club football as follows:

  • Monday, December 26th, 20:00 – Arsenal vs West Ham United
  • Saturday, December 31st, 17:30 – Brighton vs Arsenal
  • Tuesday, January 3rd, 20:00 – Arsenal vs Newcastle United

If accurate, this is relatively good news for Arsenal. The new fixtures give them an extra day to recover between the Brighton and Newcastle matches, and the later kick-offs are both at home.

You’d imagine the Newcastle fans will be less pleased about having to travel all the way down to London for an 8pm kick-off on a Tuesday night.

As it stands, Arsenal have no fixtures scheduled after Newcastle until the north London derby on the weekend of January 14th. But the gaps will be filled with FA Cup and potential League Cup fixtures.

The Premier League should soon confirm the updated schedule, at which point we can all start making our festive plans around the games.
