Arsenal were handed a very difficult draw on Monday in Nyon with Lyon, Juventus and FC Zürich in their group.

The team will certainly need to raise their level to be able to make it to the knock-out stage after learning their group opponents for the Champions League.

Lyon have won the tournament eight times and have Danielle van de Donk among their players. The Arsenal fan favourite was not able to say goodbye to the fans after her move to the French champions and it will be a great occasion to see her back at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal will also welcome their former manager, Joe Montemurro, who is now with Juventus as well as our former goalkeeper, Pauline Peyraud-Magnin. Juventus famously eliminated Chelsea at the group stage last season.

FC Zürich are managed by the German legend Inka Grings and are probably the weakest team in the Group.

Here is the full Champions League draw:

Group A: Chelsea (ENG), Paris Saint-Germain (FRA), Real Madrid (ESP), Vllaznia (ALB)

Group B: Wolfsburg (GER), Slavia Praha (CZE), St. Pölten (AUT), Roma (ITA)

Group C: Lyon (FRA, holders), Arsenal (ENG), Juventus (ITA), Zürich (SUI)

Group D: Barcelona (ESP), Bayern München (GER), Rosengård (SWE), Benfica (POR)

Group A is the group of death with three good teams fighting for two places, while Group D will also be a tough group.

Group B see Wolfsburg as huge favourites to go through.
