Former Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey signed for OGC Nice over the summer, and he made the perfect start with a goal just one minute into his debut.

Ramsey went on to appear in every one of Nice’s matches after that, either starting or as a substitute, until he picked up an injury after eight games.

But despite his busy start in France, Ramsey says he still keeps an eye on how things are going with his former club back in England.

“They are still a massive part of my life and I still look out for them and I am really glad to see them doing so well,” Ramsey said. “I always have love for Arsenal and that will never change.”

Ramsey isn’t the only player with Arsenal links playing for Nice this season, as Nicolas Pepe is on loan with the Ligue 1 side.

The team sit 13th in Ligue 1 after a very mixed start, so they’ll hope they can turn things around between the current international break and the World Cup.

For Ramsey, his primary focus is on his recovery from his latest hamstring injury. Reports in early September suggested he was set to miss three weeks, so he should be back in time for the return of club football.
