Hugo Lloris and Ben Davies are doubts for the north London derby, after suffering injuries in the buildup to the international break.

Hugo Lloris has withdrawn from the France squad for the upcoming international break with a small injury to his right thigh. The Guardian write that he’s now an injury concern ahead of the north London derby and faces a race against time to be fit to face Arsenal.

The same outlet also notes that Ben Davies is in a similar situation, having withdrawn from the Wales squad with an injury to his knee.

It’s hard to draw any conclusions on the injuries at this stage. For a start, we still have almost two weeks until the derby, and a lot could change during that time. If the injuries are only minor, then both players could recover before the match.

We’re also unlikely to get accurate information from Spurs sources, who will want to keep the team news under wraps for as long as possible in the buildup to the game.

Why let Arsenal know which goalkeeper will be starting the match if you don’t have to?

Spurs signed Fraser Forster over the summer, so he’ll probably be in line to start the match if Lloris is unavailable. But based on past experience, the injured Spurs man will probably return just in time to play in the derby.
