Arsenal are to send 19-year-old Marquinhos out on loan in January – but only if they can sign another winger themselves.

Arsenal handed a debut to 19-year-old Marquinhos in their Europa League opener on Thursday night and the Brazilian did not disappoint.

Opening the scoring, the young winger has not received the coverage he might have expected due to the news blackout across UK media in the wake of the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

It is now being reported that Arsenal will send him out on loan in January, if they are able to secure the services of a more experienced player for that position.

The winger has made an excellent start in North London, scoring three goals in three u21 games before, of course, providing a goal and assist on his senior debut.

Initially, Arsenal had planned to send Marquinhos out on loan in the summer, but they reportedly changed their mind when they saw how much the £3m man adapted to life in London.
