Udinese are looking to try and sign Hector Bellerin, rivalling the Spanish clubs in the mix for the Arsenal right-back.

Di Marzio report that Udinese are trying to replace right-back Brandon Soppy, who is seemingly set to join Atalanta this summer. The Serie A side are targeting Hector Bellerin as a transfer option.

Udinese know it won’t be a simple negotiation, because there’s competition for Bellerin’s signature, but they want to at least try.

Daniele Trecca reports that the deal isn’t looking particularly likely right now. Udinese reportedly suggested an initial one-year contract, and talks have since broken down.

Though Trecca doesn’t rule Udinese out of the race entirely, the initial transfer conditions proposed were clearly unconvincing.

Matteo Moretto reported for Relevo earlier this week that Bellerin’s agent Albert Botines is still in talks with Arsenal.

Both parties are hoping to move him on this summer, and Botines is also in contact with Real Betis.

According to those claims, Bellerin wants to return to Spain, and he’s been offered to Atletico Madrid and Barcelona, but his favoured option is Betis.

But the suggestion is that the Spanish teams aren’t actually willing to pay a transfer fee for Bellerin. They want him for free. He may end up having to turn elsewhere if Arsenal don’t agree to those terms.

It’s been clear for a while that Bellerin wants to leave, but he has a year on his deal, no realistic hope of reintegration with Arsenal, and no club willing to put down a major bid for him.

Arsenal are certainly going to struggle to make a sale under these circumstances. Though interest from further clubs like Udinese should help a little.
