Manchester City apparently want to buy Kieran Tierney to replace Oleksandr Zinchenko who joined Arsenal earlier in the summer.

Manchester City have reportedly turned their eye to Kieran Tierney after failing to land a suitable replacement for Zinchenko.

Although they are said to be close to an £11m move for Anderlecht defender, Sergio Gomez, the Mail report that they are also one of a number of clubs monitoring Tierney at Arsenal.

Tierney is under contract with Arsenal for another four years and it seems extremely unlikely the club would consider selling him.

When fit, he is first choice for that position and Mikel Arteta has shown no desire to change that.

Tierney came on as a second half substitute as Arsenal beat Leicester 4-2 at the Emirates on Saturday.

In total, he’s played just 20 minutes this season so far as he makes his way back following his latest injury which was picked up in pre-season against Nurnberg.
