Hector Bellerin is still in negotiations with Arsenal over the termination of his contract, amid various complications regarding his exit.

ESPN report that Hector Bellerin’s future remains uncertain, even with just a week to go until the conclusion of the transfer window.

Talks with Arsenal over a potential contract termination are ongoing, but there’s also the issue of Real Betis and Barcelona facing financial difficulties.

Barcelona have been struggling to register players throughout the window, so whether they could fit Bellerin within their financial restrictions remains to be seen.

Real Betis have brought in less than £2m through sales this summer, so they don’t have much to spend either.

Despite interest from elsewhere, Bellerin is reportedly keen on returning to Spain with one of his two former clubs. This fits with reports from the country itself, with Estadio Deportivo writing that Bellerin has rejected Udinese.

James Olley adds that Bellerin’s exit might now run close to deadline day.

The Evening Standard reported earlier this week that Bellerin’s preferred destination remains a return to Real Betis.

After spending the last season on loan with Betis, the right-back is hoping to go back to the La Liga side on a permanent basis. But there’s no agreement between Betis and Arsenal at this stage.
