Hector Bellerin’s agent is flying to London to resolve his future in a meeting with Arsenal, according to reports from Spain.

Matteo Moretto reported on Monday morning that Hector Bellerin’s representative would fly to London in the following few hours to sort out his future.

Moretto claims the agent is set for a key meeting with Arsenal, as Bellerin’s camp aim to secure a transfer for as little money as possible. Real Betis are waiting to see how negotiations go.

Bellerin had been photographed at an airport in recent days, but Moretto writes that the right-back is currently back in England after his holiday.

The 27-year-old is evidently not in real contention to play for Arsenal this season. Though he played some part in pre-season, he wasn’t even in the squad to face Crystal Palace on Friday.

Mikel Arteta has so many options at right-back now. Takehiro Tomiyasu is probably the first choice when he’s fit, but Ben White has been playing in the position lately.

Then there’s Cedric Soares, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, youth prospects Reuell Walters and Brooke Norton-Cuffy. All for one position.

Even if Bellerin, Maitland-Niles, and Norton-Cuffy (loan) all leave this summer, Arsenal will still have plenty of alternatives in all competitions.

If Arsenal can agree a deal with Real Betis, it would probably suit everyone.
