Bukayo Saka’s new contract will see the Arsenal man’s wages more than double according to a report in the Daily Mail which gives the same information as a report we covered back in July.

Bukayo Saka is confident that he will come to an agreement with Arsenal over a new deal that is expected to more than double his current £70kpw wages.

Back in July, it was reported that Arsenal had offered Bukayo Saka a new deal that would see his wages rise to amongst the highest at the club. Now, with the same information, most outlets are reporting that story again.

Currently, Gabriel Jesus is the highest earner at Arsenal on a reported £265,000-per-week, followed by Thomas Partey on £200,000 before we get to Ben White  on £120,000.

In addition, ahead of Arsenal’s game against Aston Villa on Wednesday, Saka was asked if he shared Mikel Arteta’s confidence that a deal would be agreed. “Yes, I share his confidence,” Saka said.

Before Arsenal’s game against Bournemouth, Arteta had been asked about Saka’s contract and had replied, “I am very confident that we as a club, Bukayo and his family and agent are all aligned.

“Now it’s about putting that on a piece of paper.

“I would like that to get done because I don’t want players to be distracted in the season. But these things take time.”

Saka’s contract, that he signed in 2020, is due to expire in 2024.
