Arsenal have confirmed the u18s’ fixtures for the coming campaign, with the Gunners set to face Newcastle United, Aston Villa, and Manchester United in one-off fixtures (not home and away).

  • Saturday, September 3rd – 11:00 BST – Newcastle United u18s vs Arsenal u18s
  • Saturday, October 8th – 12:00 BST – Arsenal u18s vs Aston Villa u18s
  • Saturday, November 5th – 11:00 BST – Manchester United u18s vs Arsenal u18s

Arsenal have been a little unlucky with the logistics, as they’ll have to travel to Newcastle and Manchester for away games whilst their only home fixture is against the most local side, Aston Villa.

But there’s no way to make everyone happy, and Arsenal will have other years where they’re the lucky team with extra home games.

The group games are likely to all be played behind closed doors, with Arsenal giving little coverage to the early stages of this competition in previous years.

Rather like the u21 edition of the Premier League Cup, Arsenal tend to give opportunities to fringe players in these matches, saving their starters for the league fixtures.
