William Saliba put in yet another brilliant performance this weekend, capping it all with a spectacular goal as he was serenaded by Arsenal fans with a chant the players are now joining in with.

The Arsenal supporters at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday were in as fine form as their team as they took us through their full catalogue of chants and songs, including some new material such as ‘You’re going down with United’.

But, it was the William Saliba song, set to the tune of ‘Tequila!’ that was the soundtrack for the day.

Saliba’s performance matched the song.

The 21-year-old defender finished with a 100% pass success rate, in addition to his goal, three clearances, two interceptions, and six recoveries.

After the match, Mikel Arteta admitted that the Arsenal players were even singing the Saliba song in the dressing room.

Asked if he would be singing it himself on the way home, Arteta replied, “The boys are already singing it in the dressing room!”

About Saliba’s goal, Arteta added, “We’ve been training that all week! It very much surprised me.

“Individual talent, a moment of quality – I don’t know how you’re going to call it but I don’t think anybody expected it and it was great. I’m so happy for the boy.”

It’s also worth noting that in 270 minutes of Premier League football, Saliba has made just two fouls.
