Williamson said: “Ellen is the ultimate professional. The mentality she brought is what I admire most about her.

“Jill is a model human being. I couldn’t speak more highly of either of them and, although I’m heartbroken they have left the game, their legacy will live forever.”

The Guardian

The Guardian have a report on the latest Women’s England squad to be named, which saw a recall for Arsenal’s Jordan Nobbs following her injury problems.

Leah Williamson will, of course, captain the side. Beth Mead and Lotte Wubben-Moy are also included.
