David Ornstein reports for The Athletic that Serge Gnabry has ended the summer speculation over his future by agreeing a new deal with Bayern Munich. He’ll sign the contract in the coming days.

Kicker had broken the news this week that Gnabry and Bayern were both confident they’d reach an agreement for an extension, as the 27-year-old is finally satisfied with their latest offer.

Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sport Germany also reported that there was indeed a convergence between Gnabry and Bayern after positive talks.

Gnabry is set to sign a contract lasting four or five years, with his previous deal expiring in 2023.

The Telegraph had reported that Chelsea were interested in Gnabry this summer, as they considered alternative options to Barcelona-bound Raphinha.

But both Plettenberg and Bild claimed a potential move to Chelsea is a non-starter for Gnabry, as he doesn’t want to play for another London club than Arsenal.

Gnabry has never been set for a return to Arsenal, as Fabrizio Romano claims the player is not on the Gunners’ list, despite any rumours to the contrary.

In 45 appearances for Bayern in 2021/22, Gnabry has reached 17 goals and eight assists, scoring his last goal in the game that won them their 10th consecutive Bundesliga title.
