Henry Jeffcott, James Sweet, and Billy Vigar are all seemingly signing professional terms with Arsenal, joining the u21s for pre-season.

When the Premier League published their retained lists in June, a number of Arsenal scholars were listed with “offer contract” next to their name.

That means they were technically out of contract by the end of the month, but that Arsenal had offered them an extension.

From this list, Taylor Foran and Mauro Bandeira have since confirmed new deals, and Jeorge Bird has long reported that Charles Sagoe Jr’s deal is just waiting on official confirmation.

That left Henry Jeffcott, James Sweet, and Billy Vigar as the only uncertainties, but any expectations the trio might leave were seemingly put to an end on Tuesday night.

Despite reaching the end of their previous deals, Jeffcott, Sweet, and Vigar were all in the u21 squad to face Woking on Tuesday.

It’s seemingly only a matter of time until we get the confirmation now.

Arsenal tend to space out their announcements even if multiple players sign their contracts at once, presumably to give each individual their moment to celebrate their extension.

Jeffcott is a Northern Irish left-back who was a regular for the Arsenal u18s last season. He also made a cameo appearance for the u23s in November.

Sweet had an impressive campaign with the u18s as well, leading the entire squad in assists with nine from midfield.

Finally, Vigar is a centre-forward who can also play out wide. After overcoming an injury last season, he ended the campaign with four goals and two assists – a solid record from his limited minutes.
