Fabio Vieira joined up with the Arsenal squad for their friendly against FC Nurnberg on Friday, despite not being named in the squad.
Though he wasn’t named in the Arsenal squad to face FC Nurnberg on Friday, Fabio Vieira was with them at the stadium watching the game.
The summer signing has been out with a minor injury over the last few weeks, but he appears to be edging closer to involvement on the pitch. It’s certainly encouraging that he’s joined the trip to Germany.
Vieira wasn’t the only player watching on in Nurnberg despite not being in the squad. Rob Holding and Ben White were also both in attendance but not named.
Holding has missed both friendlies this week with an unspecified injury, whilst there’s no word on White’s fitness after he had started the previous friendly against Ipswich Town.
Whatever their issues, they still have plenty of time to recover and play a role throughout the remainder of pre-season. The Gunners don’t kick off the new league campaign for another four weeks.
Next up on tour is the trip to the USA, where Arsenal will play Everton on July 17th, Orlando City on July 21st, and Chelsea on July 24th.
The Gunners will then return for one final friendly in front of their home support, against Sevilla on July 30th.
After that, it’s off to Selhurst Park on August 5th to welcome in the new Premier League season.
