It has been a little over a year since Arsenal were last linked with a move for Lyon’s Moussa Dembele with the club reportedly keen to do a £25m-deal last summer which, of course, came to nothing.

Dembele, who turned 26 on July 12, is valued at around £18m now following a season that saw him score 22 goals, with five assists, in 36 games. Certainly much better than his new teammate, Alexandre Lacazette, managed in his last season at Arsenal (36 games, six goals, eight assists).

The report that Arsenal and Manchester United are interested in Demebele, who only has a year left on his current contract, comes via the French site, Media Foot. They claim United have been working towards a deal and that Arsenal are continuing to monitor the situation.

Southampton are also said to be interested in the former Celtic man who could be available for as little as £10m this summer.

Dembele scored 51 goals, with 18 assists, in 94 games for Celtic.
