Arsenal’s loanees have had another good week, with Mika Biereth, Omar Rekik, and Tyreece John-Jules adding further goals to the growing pre-season tally.

Mika Biereth had another good week for RKC Waalwijk, at least on an individual basis. His team lost badly to Eredivisie side PEC Zwolle, but Biereth scored twice and assisted once, so he did nothing to hurt his own reputation.

Tyreece John-Jules got off to a good start with Ipswich Town, making a substitute debut against West Ham United on Tuesday before capping his first start with a goal against AFC Wimbledon on Saturday.

Alex Kirk was the only Arsenal loanee to play competitive minutes this week, debuting in a Scottish League Cup group game against Queen of the South. Unfortunately, they lost 3-0, but Kirk completed the full 90 minutes.

Harry Clarke played the second half of Stoke City’s 2-0 defeat to Accrington Stanley. They were already 2-0 down when he joined the action.

Omar Rekik scored his first pre-season goal on loan with Sparta Rotterdam against KVV Quick 20 in a 3-0 win on Tuesday, before starting in another 2-0 win against Heracles Almelo on Friday.

Nikolaj Moller made another start for FC Den Bosch against AFC Amsterdam, playing a big role in their opening goal as his shot was turned in on the rebound. They won the match 4-0 as he played just over an hour.

Ovie Ejeheri featured in two friendlies for Chelmsford City FC, conceding once in a friendly against Hertford Town, and keeping a clean sheet against Bowers & Pitsea FC, playing the first half in both cases.

Auston Trusty evidently joined Birmingham City too late for their Bass Charity Vase match on Saturday afternoon, as they won 2-1 without him.
