Any Juventus attempts to sign Gabriel Magalhaes appear to be dead in the water, with the player resisting their efforts.

Alfredo Pedulla reports that Juventus’ push to sign Gabriel Magalhaes is being resisted, so they’re pushing on with Nikola Milenkovic as an alternative. Pau Torres is another option if Villarreal lower their demands.

CBS Sports reported last week that Juventus want to sign Arsenal centre-back Gabriel this summer, though they denied that the Serie A club had submitted a bid.

Mikel Arteta and Edu Gaspar both share the view that Gabriel is a key player for Arsenal, and they currently have a strong resolve to keep the defender.

The Telegraph report something similar, claiming Gabriel is of interest to Juventus but they haven’t made a formal approach, and it would take an enormous fee for Arsenal to even consider it.

With three years on Gabriel’s Arsenal deal, the Gunners are in a strong position ahead of any potential negotiations.

It seems Gabriel is also resisting the move. The same outlet reported in June that Gabriel is settled in London and at Arsenal, starting his family in the city.

When Gabriel was previously linked with Barcelona, Football.London reported that Arsenal were refusing to entertain any offers for the player.

It’s possible we see Juventus come in with a formal offer at some stage, but all outlets are suggesting it’s unlikely to succeed.
