David Ornstein reports for The Athletic that Arsenal are in the process of finalising a move for Oleksandr Zinchenko. The Gunners have an agreement in principle with Manchester City, and they have personal terms in place with Zinchenko.

The fee is believed to be £30m, with an extra £2m in achievable add-ons, and Ornstein adds that the Ukraine international will be signing a four-year deal if all goes to plan.

Fabrizio Romano has given his confirmation that the deal is going ahead, writing that Zinchenko has always been keen on re-joining Mikel Arteta and a medical is expected this week.

Romano adds that the deal will be announced this week, and that Zinchenko turned down a move from Everton to sign him.

Charles Watts claims Arsenal are hoping Zinchenko will be able to play during the U.S. tour – which ends on Sunday. Watts writes that a medical is imminent, possible in the U.S. as City are already there on tour, but the logistics are still being finalised.

From City’s end, the Daily Mail’s Jack Gaughan reports that personal terms are done. Zinchenko had rejected previous chances to leave City, but the opportunity to reunite with Arteta was a major pull.

Manchester Evening News writer Simon Bajkowski reports that City weren’t looking to sell Zinchenko this summer, but the player decided to go.

The deal isn’t quite done yet, with the contracts not yet signed and medical still to be sorted. But everything looks positive at the moment.
