He may not have been as quick off the mark as Gabriel Jesus, but Alexandre Lacazette didn’t take long to find the back of the net now that he’s back in Lyon colours.

Testing the Bourg en Bresse Peronnas keeper after four minutes, it took just another three before he found the back of the net for what was the only goal of the first half.

Lacazette played the first 45 minutes before being taken off at halftime, also setting up Toko Ekambi with a one-two only to see his teammate hit the bar.

In the second half, after Lacazette was taken off, Lyon scored another three.

Speaking after the game, Lyon boss Peter Bosz said of Lacazette, “I saw an intelligent centre-forward, who fortunately scored very quickly.

“So, that’s already good for him. Of course, compared to the game of his teammates, he will have to learn.

“But he’s a good player.”
