Fabrizio Romano reports that Youri Tielemans will leave Leicester City this summer. The midfielder has a year left on his contract and there was some speculation he might see it out, but it appears he’s now set to leave.

Romano claims Arsenal are one of three clubs in the race for Tielemans. He remains a target for Mikel Arteta’s midfield, though no deal is imminent and negotiations will take some time.

The Telegraph’s John Percy recently reported that Arteta is pushing Arsenal to make an opening £25m bid for Tielemans. The club’s head of UK scouting has consistently been watching the midfielder throughout the current campaign.

But Percy added that Leicester could demand a fee of over £30m, despite Tielemans’ deal running down.

Leicester are hoping to use Tielemans’ sale to fund their other business.

The Athletic report that Tielemans ranks highly among Arsenal’s targets, again repeating that the Gunners would like to pay in the region of £25m.

Talks have taken place between Edu and Tielemans’ representatives, though other clubs are also interested in his signature.

David Ornstein previously reported that Tielemans is Arsenal’s top target for the No. 8 role.

Tielemans scored seven goals and provided five assists in 50 games for Leicester City in all competitions this season, with 10 of those goal contributions coming in his 32 Premier League games.
