Manchester City and Gabriel Jesus agreed a while ago that his transfer would be valued between €45m and €50m, according to a report.
Marca report that Arsenal and Real Madrid target Gabriel Jesus previously agreed with his club that their price for his sale would be between €45m and €50m (£38-43m).
The same outlet wrote earlier this week that Jesus is one of many players to be offered to Real Madrid in recent days, and they’re considering him as an option.
Obviously, it’s up to Manchester City and potential suitors to agree on a transfer fee. But the suggestion is that City are comfortable turning down any bids below €45m without risk of angering Jesus.
The question now is whether Arsenal are willing to pay that amount.
Football.London previously claimed Arsenal were set to place a £35m bid for his signature, which would fall slightly short. But the striker is reportedly the Gunners’ number-one target, so that seems like a gap they could be willing to bridge.
The 25-year-old is currently away on international duty, after which he’s expected to resolve his future with his representatives.
Speaking to Sky Sports recently, David Ornstein claimed that Jesus of Manchester City is at the top of Arsenal’s list for signings in the striker position.
Jesus reportedly does exactly what Mikel Arteta is looking for in a striker, as well as having a personal relationship with both Arteta and Arsenal technical director Edu.
The 25-year-old scored 13 goals and assisted 12 in 41 appearances this season, a goal or assist every 103 minutes.
