Fabrizio Romano reports that Gabriel Jesus will undergo medical tests this morning, and he’s already arrived in London to complete his move to Arsenal.

The contracts are already prepared, with Jesus set to sign until June 2027 and Manchester City to receive a £45m fee.

Romano adds that the official statement on the transfer is to follow, though with Arsenal there are no guarantees we’ll get it immediately.

Brazilian outlet UOL Sport had previously reported that Jesus would travel for his medical, contract signing, and the start of pre-season between Tuesday and Wednesday.

Arsenal won’t want to wait too long to announce Jesus if they’re planning to integrate him into training immediately, given that would make sharing photos and videos of the session difficult.

Many of Arsenal’s internationals won’t be involved in training for another week or two, as they’ve been given an extended holiday to recover from a long season.

But the Brazilians are perhaps the one exception, as the cancellation of their friendly against Argentina meant they wrapped up their fixtures on June 6th, over three weeks ago now.

Whenever Arsenal make the Jesus signing official and whenever he joins training, it looks like the deal will be finalised this morning – barring any late hitches.

That will give him and fellow new signings Matt Turner, Marquinhos, and Fabio Vieira plenty of time to integrate with their new team ahead of the coming campaign.
