Sheffield United are keen on Arsenal’s Daniel Ballard who will be sold this summer if the right offer arrives.

Daniel Ballard’s time at Arsenal has been a weird one.

Initially released, he was brought back to the club, something that even Ballard himself is aware never happens.

Since then, however, he has found it hard to make his way into the first team and has been sent out on a series of loans.

Those have helped Ballard’s development, there is no doubt about that. The centreback is now a starter for Northern Ireland (and even scored during one of their recent Nation League matches.

Millwall are seemingly the most keen to sign Ballard, having had him on loan last season, but the Blades are one of a number of other clubs who are interested.

Their manager, Paul Heckingbottom, is said to be keen to reinforce his side after narrowly missing out on promotion.

It’s not clear when Ballard’s contract with Arsenal expires.

The 22-yea-old is currently valued at around £1.8m.
