Pablo Mari has enjoyed a decent time with Udinese. In fact, it has gone so well, he’d quite like to stay there.

While there has been some talk of Arsenal trying to use Mari as a makeweight in their chase for Udinese’s right-back, Nahuel Molina, a report in TuttoMercatoWeb claims that the Italians have offered €4m for the 28-year-old.

TMW do not believe that is a price that will convince Arsenal to sell, although they don’t offer a number at which they would.

That being said, negotiations are continuing and it would seem more than likely that the two sides will come to an agreement to bring Mari’s time at Arsenal to an end.

Mari signed for Arsenal on loan from Flamengo at the end of January, 2020 for a fee if £7.2m. They then paid an additional £5.4m to make it permanent.

Arsenal also paid him £85kpw meaning they spent around £8.84m on Mari’s wages before he left on loan in January.

That’s a total of £21.44m for a man who made 22 appearances for Arsenal.
