Arsenal and inside sources have confirmed more of the club’s pre-season plans, including games against Everton and 1. FC Nürnberg.

Until this week, the only fixtures on Arsenal’s official pre-season schedule were the clashes with Orlando City on July 20th and Chelsea on July 23rd. However, the club have now confirmed reports of a match against Everton on July 16th.

The Everton game will take place in Baltimore, and completes the U.S. Tour. The other two matches will be held in Orlando.

Charles Watts previously reported that Arsenal would also play a match in Europe, likely in Germany. Arsenal Fixture News now report that match will be a friendly against 1. FC Nürnberg on Friday, July 8th.

That suggests Arsenal will open pre-season with a training camp in Germany, followed by the tour of the U.S., and finally the planned one-day edition of the Emirates Cup.

We don’t have a date or any details for the Emirates Cup yet, but multiple reports have suggested it will be part of the Gunners’ preparations. You’d expect it to take place on July 30th/31st, the weekend between the U.S. tour and the Premier League opener.

It’s good to get the majority of the plans sorted early, with only the official confirmation of the Nurnberg game and the Emirates Cup game to come.

While the senior side are on their world tour, the u18s will reportedly hold a pre-season tour up in Edinburgh from Monday 18th July to Saturday 23rd July.
