Arsenal are one of the clubs following Aurelien Tchouameni of AS Monaco, who wants to play in the Premier League.
Gianluca Di Marzio claimed in an interview with Wett Freunde this week that a lot of clubs in the Premier League are following Aurelien Tchouameni of AS Monaco. Arsenal and Manchester United are two of them.
Tchouameni would like to play in the Premier League, and he stayed at Monaco last summer to await the opportunity for a move to England.
Di Marzio believes this will be the summer the midfielder makes that transfer.
The 22-year-old is under contract until 2024, and he’s certainly a key player for Monaco. He’s made 47 club appearances this season alone, on top of his eight games for France this campaign.
As a defensive midfielder who also has good quality in possession, Tchouameni could be a good addition to the Arsenal squad. The Gunners need midfielder players who can help to support both the defence and the attack.
Thomas Partey does a good job of that when he’s available, but his injury problems make it impossible to rely on that availability.
Tchouameni would help to give Arsenal options and security in midfield, and his age and big potential could set them up for years to come. Though he won’t come cheap, with reports suggesting he could cost €70m.
