Arsenal are apparently prepared to offer €30m for Alvaro Morata, putting an end to Juventus’ desire to sign him for a reduced price.

Look, I don’t like this rumour any more than you do, but it simply will not go away.

Whatever is going on in Italy, it involves a lot of reports claiming Arsenal are seriously interested in Alvaro Morata.

The Atletico Madrid man has been on loan in Turin with Juventus for two seasons and, while the Old Lady would like to purchase him, apparently, they only want to pay €15m (plus bonuses) after already splashing out €20m for his loan deal.

Atletico Madrid, however, believe that they can get twice that from Arsenal.

As we reported previously, the one silver lining to all this is that Morata is not keen on returning to England after his time with Chelsea.

The 29-year-old forward, who has scored 11 goals, with eight assists, in 44 appearances this season, has a total of 58 goals (38 assists) in 181 appearances in Turin.

In total across his career, Morata has scored 179 goals, with 73 assists, in 492 games.

To put that into perspective, Alexandre Lacazette, 30, who isn’t seen as deadly enough in front of goal by many, has 200 goals, and 79 assists, in 477 games.
