Arsenal are frontrunners for Youri Tielemans after multiple meetings and talks with the players’ representatives, according to a report.

CBS Sports’ Ben Jacobs revealed in an interview with Arsenal442 that Arsenal have been in talks over the potential signing of Youri Tielemans for a year, meeting with the player’s agent on multiple occasions.
Both Edu and Mikel Arteta are keen on the player, knowing he won’t sign a new deal at Leicester City and could be available for just £25m. His current contract expires in 2023.
Arsenal are the frontrunners for the signing, though their main rival is Manchester United. At this stage, it’s too early to say with Erik ten Hag would support and push for that deal though.
The Telegraph reported earlier this month that Leicester City are making plans for summer signings, but their current financial situation will force them to sell to bring players in.
Tielemans is one of the players likely to be on the way out, with The Telegraph agreeing with Jacobs that he’ll be priced at around £25m.

The Telegraph also added that the midfielder wants to play in the Champions League.
Of course, there’s still a strong possibility that Tottenham Hotspur end up beating both of Tielemans’ suitors to Champions League football.
The 24-year-old is reportedly still open to seeing out the final year of his contract with Leicester City, and perhaps he would choose that path if he didn’t have the Champions League alternative.
Tielemans has seven goals and three assists in 42 games for Leicester City in all competitions this season, with eight of those goal contributions coming in his 26 Premier League games.
