Bukayo Saka and Aaron Ramsdale both returned to training over the weekend, ahead of Arsenal’s match against Crystal Palace on Monday.

With Arsenal’s Monday night match against Crystal Palace fast approaching, the Gunners received a boost at the weekend as both Aaron Ramsdale and Bukayo Saka were pictured in training.

The two internationals had to pull out of England duty over the March break, with Ramsdale picking up an injury in his last appearance for Arsenal and Saka receiving a positive Covid-19 test.

Mikel Arteta had already confirmed in his press conference that Saka had fully recovered from Covid and was due to return to training before the Palace match, but it’s good to have the picture proof.

As for Ramsdale, Arteta had said that the goalkeeper was a doubt, and set to undergo fitness tests to establish whether or not he’d be able to return.

Ramsdale’s return to training doesn’t necessarily mean he’s now available again, as those fitness tests could still lead Arsenal to rule him out for Monday night. But it’s a step in the right direction at least.

Arsenal are also waiting on Takehiro Tomiyasu, who hasn’t featured in a Premier League match since January 1st due to various injury problems.

The right-back is supposedly getting close now, but he still wasn’t fit enough to be involved in Arsenal’s friendly against Brentford B on Wednesday. It’s probably still a little optimistic to expect him to start away to Crystal Palace.
