Lincoln City boss Michael Appleton believes Brooke Norton-Cuffy will play regularly for the Arsenal first team in the future with his loan spell going well.
Following his important assist for the England u19s to help them qualify for the U19 Euros over the international break, Brooke Norton-Cuffy returned to his loan spell with Lincoln City to feature in a 2-1 win over the weekend.
Lincoln boss Michael Appleton has been consistently impressed by Norton-Cuffy during the loan so far, previously suggesting the youngster could have a Premier League future.
Appleton has now gone one step further, claiming Norton-Cuffy will undoubtedly play for Arsenal regularly in the future.
“He’ll go back to Arsenal a better player and I’ve got no doubts – it might not be for a year or two – but he will play in their first team on a regular basis,” Appleton said.
“He puts the work in every single day. We work a lot on putting it around the corner with the full-backs knowing that either one of the No.8s or the striker will be there.
It’s not luck, he practices it every single day for 5-10 minutes after training, so all the work is down to him. He’s putting the graft in so when it happens in games, he’s comfortable doing it.”
Arsenal are clearly hopeful Norton-Cuffy does have a future with the club, as they’re currently trying to extend his contract.
David Ornstein reported that Norton-Cuffy was expected to accept Arsenal’s offer of a new deal, though The Athletic write that talks are still ongoing following last month’s contract offer.

As it stands, Norton-Cuffy still has a contract with Arsenal to 2023, and there’s no suggestion he’s not going to extend eventually.
With his current form, he’s just given himself a stronger negotiating position to get the deal he wants.
