Before Monday’s game, most people were concerned about Aaron Ramsdale, who had to withdraw from the England squad due to the hip problem that kept him out of Arsenal’s last game.

Rated as 50/50 by the Daily Mail, who seem to have just taken a guess, Arteta says the keeper is a doubt as he hasn’t trained yet. He did not indicate when he thought Ramsdale would be back in training.

He is expected to undergo fitness tests, however, before the game, so he can’t be too far off returning.

Bukayo Saka also had to withdraw from the England squad, but his issue was Covid.

The good news is that Saka is now fully recovered and “training today, hopefully,” according to the manager.

Takehiro Tomiyasu could make his return after missing quite a chunk of action with two different calf problems.
