Fabrizio Romano and Di Marzio reported on Monday that Franck Kessie had completed medical tests with Barcelona after reaching a verbal agreement to join them on a €6.5m net salary.

Romano now claims the deal is done, and Kessie has signed on as a Barcelona player until 2026.

The player’s contract with Milan expires this summer, so he’ll be joining as a free agent.

According to Sport in Spain, Arsenal had also made an offer to Kessie to sign him at the end of the season, and other Premier League clubs were linked with a move for the 25-year-old too.

But Kessie was reportedly not too impressed with the offer coming out of London while he had Barcelona on the phone as an alternative.

Arsenal have been linked with Kessie every year or two since 2016, but perhaps this move will finally quell those reports.

Alternatively, maybe he’s just the next Ousmane Dembele or Philippe Coutinho, with speculation only increasing after his move to Barcelona.
