PSV Eindhoven are open to reasonable offers for Cody Gakpo, with Arsenal among his list of admirers ahead of this summer.

In January, Foot Mercato claimed Arsenal were ready to move for PSV Eindhoven’s Cody Gakpo as a potential Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang replacement.
Within days, PSV had confirmed a new long-term contract for Gakpo with his current club, seemingly bringing an early end to the story.
But The Athletic have now revived the possibility of an Arsenal move, with David Ornstein reporting that though Gakpo’s new contract doesn’t contain a release clause, he has an understanding that PSV will cooperate with suitable summer offers.
Ornstein adds that this has led admirers such as Arsenal, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Liverpool to start holding serious conversations about a move for the player.
As things stand, none of them have made contact with PSV, but that’s expected to follow. PSV haven’t set an asking price, but there’s talk of offers over £35m.

Gakpo is having an outstanding season with PSV. He has 16 goals and 15 assists in 37 appearances in all competitions, and he’s only missing out on the Netherlands’ fixtures this month with a minor injury.
The winger (who can also play at centre-forward) opened his goal and assist tallies in his second start for the Netherlands last September.
Based on recent form, there will be plenty more goals and assists to come on the international stage when he’s fit again.
