With the international break in full flow, many of us are turning to esports for our fix of competitive action. Check out gg.bet/en/esports to find the various markets you can bet on while the usual top-five European league fixtures are on hold.

One of the most popular esports for football fans is obviously FIFA, and former Gunner Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang got an upgrade for his Ultimate Team card this week as he featured in this week’s Team of the Week.

Aubameyang’s new card is rated an 87, with 91 pace as the standout stat. His other key stats are 88 shooting, 78 passing, 84 dribbing, 37 defending, and 71 physicality.

It was no surprise to see Aubameyang making the side, given he scored the winner in Barcelona’s Europa League last-16 tie against Galatasaray and followed that up with two goals and an assist in a 4-0 win over Real Madrid.

In all, that brings the 32-year-old to nine goals and one assist in just 11 games since his transfer from Arsenal.

Barcelona are one of the clubs involved in the GGBET Elite League at http://gg.bet/en/esports, so Aubameyang is sure to be banging in the goals online as well.

The striker’s form obviously raises some questions about his departure, given Arsenal don’t have anyone scoring at the same kind of rate Aubameyang is managing.

But it’s not as if Arsenal have particularly struggled without their former captain. In fact, results have had a marked improvement ever since Aubameyang left the team.

There’s also a sense that the striker might just be a better fit for La Liga than he is for the Premier League at this stage of his career.

If Arsenal are winning games and Aubameyang is scoring goals then that sounds like a win for all parties.

The only regret is perhaps that the Gunners didn’t bring in a fee for the Gabon international. Most clubs in Europe would probably pay at least a few million for Aubameyang now that he’s in this kind of form.
