Looking to bounce back from defeat on Wednesday, let’s take a look at our Arsenal predicted lineup to face Aston Villa on Saturday.

As unfortunate and frustrating as it was to lose against Liverpool, it was always a strong possibility going into Wednesday’s game. The League Cup winners may well win the Premier League and more this season, and they’ll give anyone a tough match.
The important thing is that Mikel Arteta’s side bounces back against Aston Villa this weekend to keep the top-four charge going. Here’s our Arsenal predicted lineup to face Villa.
Goalkeeper

Aaron Ramsdale didn’t cover himself in glory with Liverpool’s opening goal, but he’s still having a strong season and should start against Aston Villa. Bernd Leno will make the bench.
Defence

Takehiro Tomiyasu’s absence from the Japan squad suggests he won’t be available for Arsenal until after the international break. Instead, Arteta will need to call on Cedric Soares once again.
Arteta has opted for consistency in his team selection lately, so Kieran Tierney, Gabriel Magalhaes, and Ben White will probably all start again as well.
Midfield

Martin Odegaard came off early against Liverpool, and Granit Xhaka rarely needs resting, so they should both be fine to start away to Aston Villa.
You’d be more tentative about playing Thomas Partey three times in a week, after his injury problems at Arsenal. But he’s been combining so well with the other two, I think Arteta will take the risk.
Forwards

The one potential change in the team could be Emile Smith Rowe coming in for Gabriel Martinelli. Martinelli gave his all against Liverpool, and he may need a rest at the weekend.
Bukayo Saka and Alexandre Lacazette both got early substitutions on Wednesday, which has hopefully protected them for further starts this week.
