Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur scouts are both monitoring Torino defender Wilfried Singo, according to reports from Italy.
Fabrizio Romano reports that scouts from both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have monitored Ivorian right-back Wilfried Singo on countless occasions.
Milan News add that Arsenal like the defender, with Tuttosport reporting that Milan, Inter, and Juventus join the Gunners and Spurs in the race for his signature.
Singo has made 26 appearances for Torino this season, scoring three goals and assisting a further four. Arsenal are understood to be on the lookout for a backup right-back this summer.
The Ivory Coast international is only 21 years old, and he’s touted for a bright future. Though it’s worth mentioning he’s mostly played as a right-wing-back this season, not in a back four.
It wouldn’t be the first time that both Arsenal and Spurs were linked with a right-back before they signed for one of the two.
That’s exactly what happened with Emerson Royal and Takehiro Tomiyasu last summer.
Arsenal fans would be more than happy to point out how well that worked for them the first time around, with Tomiyasu proving a success so far.
If Arsenal believe Singo could make a similar impact swapping Serie A for the Premier League, they’ll surely make a move this summer.
