Here comes the dreaded international break when players go away to play for their national team with multiple friendlies planned over the February period.

Luckily for Arsenal, key player Kim Little has retired from international football and can therefore enjoy a deserved break.

England

Leah Wiliamson, Lotte Wubben-Moy, Jordan Nobbs, Beth Mead, and Nikita Parris will take part in the Arnold Clark Cup in England against Germany, Spain and Canada

England u-23

Fran Stensson, Anna Patten (on loan to Aston Villa) will play a double-header away to France u-23 in Normandy.

England development squad

Teyah Goldie (dual signed with Watford), and Halle Houssein (dual signed with West ham) with travel to Spain to play two friendlies against Finland and Denmark.

Australia

Caitlin Foord, Lydia Williams and Steph Catley have just come back from the Asian Women’s Cup and there is no international game planned for this break.

Austria

Manuela Zinsberger, Laura Wienroither, and Viktoria Schnaderbeck (on loan at Tottenham) will travel to Spain to play two friendlies against Romania and Switzerland

Brazil

Rafelle Souza will travel to France to play the Tournoi de France against Netherlands, Finland and the hosts.

Denmark

Simone Boye-Sorensen will travel to Portugal to play the Algarve Cup. They will play Italy and Sweden as well as placement games.

Japan

Mana Iwabuchi has just come back from the Asian Women’s Cup and there no international game planned for this break.

Ireland

Katie McCabe will travel to Spain to play the Pinatar Cup. They will play Poland and two other teams to be chosen from six other teams.

Netherlands

Vivianne Miedema will travel to France to play the Tournoi de France against Brazil, Finland and the hosts.

Norway

Frida Maanum will travel to Portugal to play the Algarve Cup. Norway will play Portugal and Italy and a final placing game.

Scotland

Jennifer Beattie will travel to Spain to play the Pinatar Cup. They will play Wales and two other teams to be chosen from six other teams.

Sweden

Stina Blackstenius will travel to Portugal to play the Algarve Cup. They will play the hosts and Denmark as well as placement games.

Switzerland

Noelle Maritz and Lia Walti have been called up for the friendlies against Northern Ireland and Austria.

Walti will not travel in order to rest and prevent further injuries.

USA

Tobin Heath has not been called up for the SheBelieves Cup as the USA manager is focusing on giving game time to young, emerging talent.

Let’s hope all the players come back in good shape and raring to go as they will go straight in with an away FA Cup tie against Liverpool in two weeks time.
