La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Juventus are offering Dusan Vlahovic a premium contract, worth €7m net per season plus bonuses. They’re hoping to convince the striker to give his immediate ‘yes’ to the proposal.

As for their transfer offer, Juventus hope to tempt Fiorentina with a deal involving Dejan Kulusevski and €35m, but there hasn’t been official contact between the two clubs yet.

That falls short of the €55m plus Lucas Torreira that Arsenal are reportedly willing to offer, but if the player prefers to go to Juventus that might not matter.

As it stands, any move for Vlahovic will be mildly delayed by the news that he has contracted Covid-19.

The striker missed Fiorentina’s match this weekend as a result, but he’ll hopefully recover soon. There’s still over a week before the end of the transfer window.

The Athletic report that Arsenal’s top striker target for the January transfer window is Vlahovic, but they claim the Gunners aren’t making significant progress.

The transfer is considered complicated, and Arsenal aren’t substantially closer to a deal than a week ago, with the player’s intentions unclear.

Over in Italy, there have been some more optimistic claims.

La Repubblica report that Arsenal have agreed terms with Fiorentina for a move, and are even willing to pay an additional fee to the player’s camp.

The Italian outlet claim Vlahovic is impressed with the wages on offer to him and is now considering the transfer.

But if all that is really the case, it must have been a very recent development.

Fiorentina CEO Joe Barone claimed this week: “Some English club asked us for Vlahović but there’s no agreement. We’re here, available.”
