Aaron Ramsey has joined Rangers on loan after agreeing a deal to join the Scottish Champions and the SPL side will also have an option to buy the former Arsenal midfielder.

Aaron Ramsey will finally have a new home – in Scotland.

Juventus have been trying to get Aaron Ramsey to leave ever since they picked him up on a free from Arsenal in 2019.

Arsenal had wanted him to stay and had even offered him a new contract, but his agent acted the complete spoon, resulting in Arsenal withdrawing their offer and Ramsey heading off to Italy in tears.

Ramsey is now 31 and has played just 112 minutes of football this season for Juventus – 98 minutes in Serie A and 14 in the Champions League.

For Wales, however, he has played 331 minutes, despite missing three games due to muscular injuries.

He has scored three and assisted one in those games.

Ramsey’s wages will fall within Ranger’s pay structure with what will be a significant shortfall being subsidised by Juventus.

The midfielder had plenty of offers, turning down Burnley and joining up with Patrick Vieira at Crystal Palace but has opted to head to the Scottish Premier League to play for Rangers.

There was also some talk about him coming back to Arsenal but that was only ever paper nonsense and was never an option for the club.

As an Arsenal fan, with Rangers tendencies and a massive soft spot for Aaron Ramsey, I’m delighted.
