Arsenal 19-year-old Nikolaj Moller is on loan with Viktoria Koln this season, and he’s yet to really get off the mark in league play.

The striker has made four starts in the German third tier, as well as four substitute appearances, but he’s still waiting for his first league goal.

It’s a different story in cup competition, where Moller added his fourth goal contribution in just two games on Wednesday.

Facing SV Weiden in midweek, Moller made quick use of a start to score in the first half.

Moller pounced on a rebound after a long-range effort from Benjamin Hemcke was spilled by the goalkeeper into the danger area.

The goal ended up being the winner, as the score remained 1-0 for the rest of the 90. Viktoria Koln will now prepare for a quarter-final in the competition.

In his previous appearance in the cup, Moller scored two and assisted one against Untereschbach.

That did seem to help him in Viktoria Koln’s team selection, as he’s appeared in three of four league games since then, after only featuring in five of the previous 13.

Now Moller just needs a league goal to really nail down his place.
